Netball ACT are excited to announce GIANTS Netball are coming to Canberra, for the 2017 Suncorp Super Netball League. 

GIANTS Netball will play two games in Canberra against the Adelaide Thunderbirds on 19 March,  and the Melbourne Vixens on 14 May after Netball Australia announced the 2017 Fixture today.

The new GIANTS Netball team will feature Australian Diamonds representatives Kimberlee Green (retired from international netball in 2015), Susan Pettitt and Kristiana Manu’a, along with English internationals Jo Harten and Serena Guthrie.

They will be joined by 2016 ANZ Championship Best New Talent recipient Kristina Brice – a Western Sydney junior – as well as 2016 20/U International representatives Toni Anderson (NSW representative) and Sydney-born Jamie-Lee Price from Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic (2013-2016).

The new Suncorp Super Netball replaces the trans-Tasman ANZ Championship, and will feature eight Australian teams; five existing sides Adelaide Thunderbirds, Melbourne Vixens, NSW Swifts, QLD Firebirds and West Coast Fever, as well as the formation of three new clubs GIANTS Netball, Collingwood Magpies Netball Club and Sunshine Coast Lightning.

The Suncorp Super Netball commences in February 2017.

 

GIANTS Netball have released the 2017 Club’s Foundation Membership packages, including an ACT Membership for local fans.

An ACT Membership gives fans a reserved and allocated seat at both AIS Arena-hosted matches, as well as a seat to the Double Header event in April, 2017 at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park NSW. For more information on these packages click here.
