General Manager, Netball ACT
Netball ACT is the Territory Sporting Organisation for developing and managing netball in the Australian Capital Territory, providing participation opportunities for athletes, coaches, umpires, officials and administrators as well as a pathway from grassroots to high performance. Netball ACT is a not for profit organisation and one of seven State and Territory Netball Associations which make up the membership of the national body, Netball Australia. Currently there are five Districts affiliated with Netball ACT: Arawang, Belconnen, Canberra, South Canberra and Tuggeranong.
Netball ACT manages the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre at Southwell Park, Lyneham. The facility is home to the Netball ACT office as well as four indoor netball courts, change rooms, meeting rooms, canteen, crèche and store rooms. General Manager Working closely with staff (8) and the Netball ACT Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation, driving and delivering against the strategic plan to achieve success across the key areas of Corporate Services, Talent and Performance, Competitions and Events and Community Netball.
This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow a well respected and successful sporting organisation with a supportive Board. Experience within the sport environment including an understanding of the requirements for sport development, competitions, and volunteer sub-committees will be an advantage but is not essential, however you must be committed to providing strong foundations for the growth of netball in the ACT and Australia.
