Today, Netball Australia announced the 2018 Australian Netball League (ANL) fixtures, that will give netball fans around the country the chance to see some of the best young talent in action.
Making their debut in 2017, the Canberra GIANTS will play three home rounds, which will be split between ACT and NSW. Canberra will host Round 6, where the Canberra GIANTS will take on the Tasmanian Magpies on 15 and 16 June at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre.
Netball ACT General Manager, Benita Bittner welcomes the announcement, “we are delighted to host two ANL games next season. It gives Canberra fans the opportunity to witness the ANL on our doorstep. After sell out crowds at the 2017 Canberra games, we are looking forward to welcoming back a full house of Canberra Giants supporters”.
The Canberra GIANTS are the feeder team for the Suncorp Super Netball (SSN), GIANTS Netball team, who will also play in Canberra at the AIS Arena 1 July.
In conjunction with the announcement, Netball Australia also confirms that Canberra will host the 2018 ANL Finals, which will see the top four teams in the nation competing for the ANL championship title. Further finals information will be released in 2018.
