Netball Australia’s coach accreditation framework aims to assist coaches to successfully move through the coach education pathway.
The coaching framework is a six-tier progression with each stage being accredited. Below is each step of the coaching pathway process.
Course content has varied to reflect our changing community. Some of the changes were required due to the need for coaches to be more mindful of inclusive coaching practices, risk management, child protection, member protection and immediate first aid. Other changes were made to bridge the gap between courses.
The Foundation and Development Coach Accreditation courses are designed for Beginner, NetSetGO and Club coaches. For more information on these courses please hover over the corresponding course and click to follow the link.
The Intermediate and Advanced Coach Accreditations are designed for coaches who wish to coach at a Representative or State League level. The Elite Coach Accreditation is targeted at ANZ Championship assistant coaches, 17/U & 19/U state based head coaches, state league (top level) and potential high performance coaches.
The High Performance Coach Accreditation is the final step on the Netball Australia Coach Accreditation Pathway. It is targeted at top level State League, Australian Netball League or ANZ Championship head coaches. The Accreditation is managed by Netball Australia.
