South Canberra look to secure second win

South Canberra head into their Canterbury State League netball clash with Queanbeyan looking to learn from the lessons of their previous clash.

South Canberra led Queanbeyan by four goals with just two minutes to play when they met las month.

However, in a dramatic finish Queanbeyan stormed home with four unanswered goals to escape with a dramatic 38-all draw when South Canberra looked to have the game sewn up.

“It was certainly a game that slipped away from us and one we were very disappointed not to have won,” South Canberra’s Annabelle Marshall said.

“We’d worked so hard up until those final couple of minutes but were guilty of not playing right to the final whistle.”

“Friday night’s match promises to be another tight game and we’ll need to produce our best netball for the full four quarters if we are to come away with the win.”

South Canberra has recorded just one win this season although their record doesn’t reflect their effort in games.

Despite having no chance of playing finals this season South Canberra and Queanbeyan can shape the make up of the top four over the final three rounds.
