2019 will see the 2nd instalment of Netball ACT’s Masters competition. This year we are planning on opening the divisions into 2 separate categories, with a 35+ age group & a 50+ age group. Nominations will remain open until the 20th or November, or when capacity is reached.
When: 30th November 2019, 9:00am – approx. 4:00pm (TBD)
Where: SolarHub Netball ACT Indoor Courts. 435 Northbourne Avenue Lyneham, ACT, 2602.
What: A Masters competition is perfect for the player that may have stopped playing competitively, but is looking to get back with some old team mates for a catch-up and run around. Although games are competitive, teams are always fun and respectful to each other, with enjoyment being the main outcome from the day.
How much? The cost of entry is $300 per team. This includes a minimum of 4 games (depending on amount of teams), not including finals. That works out to $75 a game, or just over $10 a person for a team of 7 each game. Teams that play finals will get the matches at no extra cost, giving you extra value for money.
What you get? The winning team will receive $400 paid to a bank account of their choice. Teams will also vote for the oppositions best player each game to decide a tournament MVP. The MVP will receive a $50 voucher to spend at Pick-Up Stix Kitchen and Bar, located at the ACT Hockey Centre (in the case of a draw, NACT Staff will have final say in consultation with umpires).
The winning team will also receive the bragging rights to stay that they have still got it, and haven’t missed a step since retiring from competitive netball!
