Netball ACT announce naming rights partner for ACT Junior Championships

Netball ACT and Capital Chemist today announced a joint partnership that will see Capital Chemist become the inaugural naming rights partner for the ACT Junior Championships over the next three years.

The ACT Junior Championships is the premier junior netball competition in the ACT.  Teams that compete in the Junior Championships are representative teams from each of the five Districts within the ACT.  These include Arawang, Belconnen, Canberra, South Canberra and Tuggeranong.

This year the Championship format has been expanded to include a 17/U age group division and division three for the 11/U, 12/U and 13/U age groups. With these new additions the Championships will see over 700 athletes, coaching staff, umpires, officials and their supporters through the doors across two weekends.

Netball ACT President Louise Bilston believes the partnership will support the community and grassroots levels of the sport.

We are so proud Capital Chemist have partnered with Netball ACT to become the inaugural naming rights sponsor of the Junior Championships for the next three years”. Bilston said.

“The Capital Chemist Junior Championships is the pinnacle of grassroots netball in the ACT and sets the foundation for young netballers to develop and progress within our sport.

“Capital Chemist know what matters to Canberrans, which is evident by their extensive commitment to community groups within the ACT. Partnering with such a community minded and generous organisation is so important to Netball ACT and we are looking forward to working together to empower and enrich the lives of our young athletes through netball”.

Capital Chemist Community Program Manager, Melita Flynn responded “Capital Chemist are very proud sponsors of the ACT Junior Championships. We know that our sponsorship will give young girls the ability to feel empowered and included, to challenge themselves and feel supported in a sport they love. We feel this is a great fit for the Capital Chemist as we can be engaged in an environment that encourages health and fitness. We wish all the girls a wonderful season”.

Established in 1978, Capital Chemist has grown with Canberra and now has eighteen outlets in Canberra and several in country New South Wales. Capital Chemist is wholly-owned by a partnership of like-minded pharmacists dedicated to providing quality pharmaceutical and ancillary services to their clients.

The Capital Chemist ACT Junior Championships will be held at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre 23 and 24 June, and 7 and 8 July.
