Marie Little OAM Shield

The Marie Little OAM Shield is an annual tournament that provides women with an intellectual disability the chanced to compete at a national level.

Marie Little OAM was the founder of Sport Inclusion Australia (formerly AUSRAPID) in 1986 and dedicated her working life to improve the lives of people with an intellectual disability, using the medium of sport.

The inaugural shield began in 2013.

In 2019 Netball ACT will launch the Marie Little OAM Shield ‘Come and Try’ events and also select a Marie Little OAM Shield team to represent the ACT at the National event in October.
