Suncorp NetSetGO is Netball Australia’s only junior entry netball program. It has been developed to provide children from 5 to 10 years with the best possible learning and playing experience to develop a positive introduction to netball, ensuring enjoyment and continued participation. Suncorp NetSetGO incorporates skill activities, minor games, music, dance and modified matches in a fun and safe environment. The weekly program is coordinated by accredited coaches to ensure a quality experience for all participants.

What is Suncorp NetSetGO?

There are three tiers in the Suncorp NetSetGO Program, with each tier designed for a specific age and/or skill level. The tiers are designed to provide sequential and age-development appropriate progression. Suncorp NetSetGO Tier structure is as follows:

Net Tier (5 Years – 9 Years/First Time Netballer)
The NetSetGO Net tier is an introductory fundamental movement and netball skill program. The program has been designed for children as young as 5 years, who have minimal previous experience participating in netball. The Net tier has an emphasis on participation, cooperation and teamwork. The Net program is delivered in a non-competitive environment and does not contain a modified competition. Programs are 10 weeks long and are run by each association throughout their Winter Competition on a Saturday morning.

Set Tier (7-8 Years/Modified Competition)
The Set tier is the first exposure for participants to modified competition. The Set tier has an emphasis on building confidence and proficiency through non-competitive and equal opportunity play. The Set tier has a minimum entry age of 7 years. The modified rules of the Set tier can be found here, and have been developed to provide an environment in which a participant can develop their understanding of the game and achieve success. Each association has a number of clubs who enter teams in a Set modified competition on a Saturday morning throughout Winter Competition.

GO Tier (9-10 Years/Modified Competition)
Progressing from the Set tier is the newly formed GO tier. The GO tier also has modified rules can be found here. These rules are adapted in order to provide a smooth transition into junior netball. The GO tier has a minimum entry age of 9 years and is recommended for children aged 9-10 years. Each association has a number of clubs who enter teams in a GO modified competition on a Saturday morning throughout Winter Competition.
