Mark Vergano
Mark is currently the General Manager of Community and Regional Rugby League with the Canberra Rugby League and the Canberra Raiders. He has been in this role since June 2015, having been Chief Executive Officer of Cricket ACT between 2001-2015. In that period Cricket ACT experience a 35% growth in participation numbers, had outstanding high performance programs with more players graduating to first class and international cricket than in its previous 80 years. Mark was involved in the securing of the lights and redevelopment of Manuka Oval, the securing of funding for the new Phillip facility and multiple developments for grass roots cricket. Some $17million of funding into cricket infrastructure in that period.
Mark has also served on the Board of Actsport (2005-2015), the charity Duo (2005-2017) and is currently President of ANU Cricket Club. Mark is also a weekly sports contributor on local radio station 2CC and ABC Grandstand.
