Each year Netball ACT selects a 17 & Under and 19 & Under team to represent the territory at the Netball Australia National Netball Championships (NNC). The ACT State Team programs aimย to provide:ย - The best opportunity for team success in the National Netball Championship. - Extend NACT athlete pathways to provide opportunities at all levels of the sport. - Prepare developing athletes and coaches to process through the NACT and Netball Australia pathways. - Provide opportunities for athletes, coaches and support staff to be exposed and have access to the high-performance environments. 17/U Phase One โ Saturday 9 November - 8.50am-1pm. Phase Two โ Saturday 16 November - 8.50am-12.15pm. (only athletes who are successful from phase 1) 19/U Saturday 16 November - 9.50am-1pm. Nominations are open from ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐๐๐ซ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐:๐๐๐ฉ๐ฆ, ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐. Netball ACT has introduced a $22 registration fee to help cover operational costs for the 2025 season.
Athlete Registrations to attend trials is NOW OPEN. All players must register before they can attend trial. All trials will be held at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre in Lyneham. Netball ACT is seeking expressions of interest for the following 2025 National Netball Championships team official roles. Team Official Roles 19/U Head Coach (must have Advanced Accreditation or higher) 19/U Assistant Coach (must have Intermediate Accreditation or higher) 19/U Team Manager 19/U Physiotherapist 17/U Head Coach (must have Advanced Accreditation or higher) 17/U Assistant Coach (must have Intermediate Accreditation or higher) 17/U Team Manager 17/U Physiotherapist Competition dates and venue are yet to be released however the commitment period is from November 2024 - April 2025. Where an athlete fails to attend one or all physical trials and that athlete believes that exceptional circumstances prevented them from attending part or all of the selection, a written application may be made to NACT within 24 hours of the commencement of selection for an exemption. The reason(s) for non-attendance must be disclosed and include, where appropriate, relevant documentary evidence. The GMOS will determine whether the athlete will be permitted to trial.
Athlete selections will be conducted in accordance with the Netball ACT Pathways Selection Policy. All athletes and parents are encouraged to be familiar with this policy when nominating.
