Canberra is gearing up for a thrilling fortnight of junior netball as the Capital Chemist ACT Junior Championship kicks off. The event starts this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, June 22nd and 23rd, and continues the following weekend on June 29th and 30th. This much-anticipated championship will see 52 teams from across the region competing fiercely for the top spot.
With over 550 participants, including players, coaches, and umpires, the championship promises to showcase the best of junior netball talent in the ACT. Teams from the Arawang Netball Association, Canberra Netball Association, Belconnen Netball Association, South Canberra Netball Association, and Tuggeranong will be vying for glory.
This weekend's competition will feature divisions for ages 13 to 15, highlighting the skills and sportsmanship of these young athletes. The following weekend, the action continues with divisions for ages 11 to 12, including youth boys, promising another round of exciting matches.
Adding to the event's excitement, the team from Struddy's will be on hand all weekend with Junior Championship merchandise. Spectators and participants can also enjoy refreshments from the coffee van, BBQ, and tasty treats from the canteen.
As the young athletes prepare to give their best, the community is invited to join in and support them, making it a memorable event for all involved.
