Netball ACT is excited to announce that the Capital Darters will compete in the Super Netball Reserves Finals Series, marking an important milestone for the team and ACT netball.
The Super Netball Reserves competition provides a platform for emerging talent, featuring Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) training partners, state league players, and rising athletes. It also offers valuable opportunities for umpires, coaches, officials, and support staff to gain experience at a national level.
One of the key additions to the 2025 season is an expanded Finals Weekend and in-season tournament, providing more national match play opportunities. The Capital Darters will also take part in the ‘Play-In Tournament’ alongside Tasmania Wild and the Territory Storm.
The ‘Play-In Tournament’ will take place over three days in June at Melbourne’s Waverley Netball Centre, where the three teams will go head-to-head. The results from these matches will determine their matchups against Super Netball Reserves teams during the highly anticipated Finals Weekend.
Netball Australia Executive General Manager of Netball Megan Simpson said she was excited to see the Super Netball Reserve make its return in 2025 which brings new exciting elements for teams and fans.
"The ‘Play-In Tournament’ and extended Finals Weekend will not only elevate the standard of competition that Super Netball Reserves offers, but also provide a great opportunity for the next generation of netball stars", Ms Simpson said.
“We’re thrilled to see these talented athletes perform and we are excited about the future growth and success of netball in Australia."
The Capital Darters are eager to represent the ACT on this national stage, demonstrating the hard work, dedication, and skill of our players and coaching staff.
