Netball ACT proudly recognised the outstanding contributions of individuals and clubs within the netball community at the 2024 Netball ACT Presentation Night, held last week. The evening celebrated excellence across various levels, highlighting those who have made significant impacts on the sport.
Woolworths NetSetGO Centre of the Year was awarded to South Gungahlin Netball Club for their commitment to fostering young netballers and promoting the sport at a grassroots level. The club’s dedication to the Woolworths NetSetGO program has been instrumental in growing participation and developing future stars.
The 2024 Umpire of the Year Award was presented to Jake Shepherd, whose outside officiating throughout the season has set the standard for integrity and skill on the court. Jake’s leadership and professionalism continue to enhance the game for players and spectators alike.
Recognised for her outstanding contribution to coaching, Kate Durham received the 2024 Coaching Excellence Award. Kate’s dedication to player development, strategic insight, and commitment to empowering athletes has been nothing short of inspirational.
