Netball ACT is proud to announce Garran Medical Imaging (GMI) as the new Naming Rights Partner of the Netball ACT State League.
The partnership brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to supporting healthy, active communities and investing in the wellbeing of Canberrans. As one of the ACT's leading providers of advanced diagnostic imaging, GMI is recognised for delivering exceptional patient care while supporting athletes at every level, from community participants through to elite performers.
Netball ACT Chief Executive Officer Katrina Roff said the partnership represents an exciting opportunity to strengthen the ACT's premier netball competition while promoting health and wellbeing across the community.
"We're delighted to welcome Garran Medical Imaging as the title sponsor of Netball ACT's State League," Roff said.
"Their commitment to supporting local sport and community wellbeing aligns strongly with our values, and we're excited about the positive impact this partnership will have on our athletes, families and the wider Canberra community."
As the ACT's premier netball competition, the GMI State League provides athletes, coaches, umpires, officials and volunteers with opportunities to excel while strengthening the sport and inspiring the next generation of participants across Canberra and the surrounding region.
The partnership will help Netball ACT continue delivering a high-quality competition while reinforcing the importance of participation, performance and player wellbeing. It also reflects a shared commitment to supporting athletes both on and off the court.
For Garran Medical Imaging, the partnership aligns closely with its expertise in sports medicine, musculoskeletal imaging and injury management, while reinforcing its commitment to community health.
Garran Medical Imaging General Manager Shane Robinson said partnering with Netball ACT was a natural fit.
"Partnering with Netball ACT was important to Garran Medical Imaging because it directly supports our mission of serving the Canberra community," Robinson said.
"It aligns with our focus on elite sport, musculoskeletal health and community wellbeing, while allowing us to invest in one of the ACT's largest and most vibrant sporting communities."
The partnership aims to benefit players and their families by promoting faster diagnosis, improved injury management and greater confidence when returning to play following injury.
"This partnership is about more than naming rights; it reflects a shared commitment to supporting our athletes, strengthening our community and investing in the future of netball across the ACT. We look forward to achieving great things together," Roff said.
Together, Netball ACT and Garran Medical Imaging are investing in healthier athletes, stronger communities and an even brighter future for netball across the ACT.
