After three years at the helm of Netball ACT, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Chief Executive Officer, Dr Sally Clark, who official finished up her role on December 5, 2025.
Sally has been a steady, positive, and collaborative leader, someone who genuinely cares about the people who make up our netball community. Whether it was supporting grassroots clubs, working with volunteers, or driving big-picture projects, Sally always brought a thoughtful and community-focused approach.
During her time with us, Sally helped guide some major improvements for netball in Canberra.
In 2023, her leadership played a key role in securing $7.05 million from the ACT Government to remediate all five district playing courts, an upgrade that will benefit thousands of players for years to come.
She also helped secure funding through the ACT Sport and Recreation Capital Facilities Grant Program and the Federal Government’s Play Our Way Grant to replace the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre roof. This upgrade was a huge relief to our entire community and will support the Centre well into the future.
These highlights represent only a portion of the leadership and contribution Sally brought to Netball ACT during her time as CEO.
Netball ACT Chair, Dr. Andrew Griffin, shared his appreciation for Sally’s contribution:
“The Board of Netball ACT thanks Sally for her significant efforts and contributions as CEO, particularly her contributions to the community grass roots of our sport here in Canberra", Griffin said.
"She leaves Netball ACT in a strong position to build on her legacy and we are grateful for her efforts. We wish her all the best for her future plans and look forward to seeing her around the courts!”
Netball ACT wishes to thank Dr. Sally Clark for all that she has given to our sport and our community and we look forward to seeing her around the courts.
Sally will stay on in an interim capacity until the new CEO is confirmed. We expect to announce the appointment early in the new year.
