The 2024 HCF State League season has come to an exhilarating close, with a season spanning 15 fiercely competitive rounds and culminating in thrilling grand final matches. This year’s competition saw some incredible performances across all divisions, and the Player of the Series winners have now been crowned, recognising the standout athletes of the season.
Player of the Series Winners
In Division 1, Caitlin Brady from Canberra Netball Association took home the top honor as Player of the Series after a phenomenal season, marking her fourth consecutive win. Brady's consistent playmaking and leadership on the court once again earned her the title. Malia Harrison from Tuggeranong Netball Association finished as runner-up, while Deonye Fyfe from Arawang Netball Association secured third place.
In Division 2, Hannah Roberts of Belconnen Netball Association was crowned Player of the Series. Runner-up Hannah Ahmad (Arawang) and third-placed Annabelle Wheadon (ANA) both had standout seasons, pushing their team to win the Grand Final by 1 point against Canberra.
The Men’s League saw Nicholas Hampton from Arawang dominate throughout the season, earning the Player of the Series title. Tristan Vergano from Queanbeyan Netball Association finished as runner-up, with Patrick Knight of Canberra rounding out the top three.
In the 19s Division, Lauren Yeaman (Arawang) was named Player of the Series, with teammates Addie Hinds finishing second and Chloe Penfold (Belconnen) claiming third place.
The 17s Division saw Taiah Dunn from Queanbeyan Netball Association take the top honor. Indiana Kildey (Tuggeranong) finished as runner-up, while Charlise Webb (South Canberra) placed third.
