Netball ACT welcomes the recent easing of restrictions from the ACT Government with sports moving into Stage 2.2 from midday today. Non-contact sports can recommence competition with groupings of up to 100 people in both indoor and outdoor areas, whilst maintaining 1 person per 4 square metres.
Whilst we know how competitive our netballers are on the court, within the rules of netball we do not allow for contact other than incidental contact. Which has given us the green light to resume contest training and competitions. Delighted by moving into Stage 2.2 Netball ACT and District Associations have worked together to revise the Return to Netball in the ACT Roadmap, today releasing an updated version.

Netball ACT and District Associations will continue to strictly follow Government advice to provide a COVID-Safe environment for all our netball family. Details on the netball specific guidelines and safety measures we are following can be found at Return to Netball. As you return to the netball courts remember we are still following the principle of “get in, train/play and get out”. Members are reminded to follow this principle across all activities and not to gather in communal areas before or after training, playing, or volunteering.
