In Round 4 The Capital Spirit will play against the Penrith Panthers, both the Opens teams will be hunting for their first win of the 2021 season and looking to bounce back from disappointing loses last week.
Kate Carpenter, Head Coach said “For various reasons a number of players are unavailable, however we still have our core group travelling this week and are looking forward to the performance of young shooting talent Poppy Hancox joining Liv and Nalani in our attack end, about the inclusion of Poppy Hancox for her Premier League debut.
“This week our focus is to minimise our unforced errors and improve on our overall team performance from last week. I would like to congratulate Lily O’Brien who last week was voted our teams vice-captain by her peers but unfortunately won’t be travelling this week due to a knee injury,” said Head Coach Kim Symons. The U23s Spirit will face a confident Panthers side after their 20-goal victory over the Heart last week.
