The Capital Spirit Opens side had their strongest 60-minute performance last week against a strong Manly Warringah Sapphires team. Hoping to continue that momentum in round 8 against the Penrith Panthers - a side also searching for their first win, Kate Carpenter said “We are hoping to carry last weeks form into the match, and we want to have the same intensity and flow on attack and meet our turnover targets.”
From Head Coach Kim Symons “We are excited to have Rachel Gubler joining the side to strengthen our mid court, after the promotion of Emily Brady to the Opens team. The team will be working to reduce their error rate in attack this week.” The Under 23’s are looking to bounce back after a tough loss last week, with the return of Goal Attack Caitlin Bull from injury and Eliza Rixon from illness.
