Round 9 marks the halfway point of the 2021 Origin Energy Premier League and will also celebrate Indigenous Round during National Reconciliation Week.
The Capital Spirit will proudly be wearing a dress designed by our three First Nations athletes Thalia Uilelea, Scarlett Kris, and Olivia Clark.
“We’ve taken a step back from our physical preparation this week and we have focused on the importance of our connections led by our indigenous athletes and community,” said Kate Carpenter.
Kim Symons added “The importance of this round is invaluable to our playing group; we wear the dresses our athletes have designed with pride and we want our score line to reflect that.”
Both sides will play against top of the table North Shore United, in what are sure to be tough matches for both teams.
