Netball ACT is delighted to announce that Wattle Blue has renewed its commitment as sponsor of the Blazing Bluebells, for a second consecutive year, continuing its valued support of the ACT Marie Little Shield team.
The Marie Little Shield competition provides athletes with an intellectual disability the opportunity to represent their state on the national stage, while celebrating inclusion, teamwork and the power of sport.
Wattle Blue's ongoing partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating opportunities for everyone to participate, grow and succeed.
"We spend every day encouraging our clients to try new things, challenge themselves and realise what they're capable of achieving," said Wattle Blue Director Jack Cheeseman.
"The Blazing Bluebells live those values every time they step onto the court, and we're incredibly proud to support a team that's setting such a positive example” Cheeseman said.
For Wattle Blue, supporting inclusive sport is about strengthening the wider community.
"Everyone benefits from a more inclusive community. When people are given the opportunity to participate, compete and be recognised for what they can do, it builds confidence, breaks down barriers and creates stronger communities for all of us,” he said.
Netball ACT CEO, Katrina Roff welcomed Wattle Blue's continued support.
"Wattle Blue has become an important part of the Blazing Bluebells family. We're incredibly grateful to have them alongside us for another year as we continue to provide meaningful pathways for our all-abilities athletes,” Roff said.
As the Blazing Bluebells prepare for another Marie Little Shield National tournament, the continued support of Wattle Blue will help ensure athletes have every opportunity to thrive, compete and proudly represent the ACT.
