Netball ACT Academy

The Netball ACT Academy targets the development of aspiring youth athletes aged 14-16 years providing a foundation in technical and tactical skill development, physical preparation and athlete wellbeing. Up to 40 athletes will be selected to participate in the program that will run from August to October. Previously, athletes have nominated and then trialed for a place in the Academy. This year it will be a “by invitation” selection process with NACT selectors observing athlete performance across the Capital Chemist Junior Championships. The benefit of this process is that the skill, abilities and behaviours of all athletes will be observed in their own team environment.
