Netball ACT has welcomed 2XU as the official compression supplier of Netball ACT for the next two years.
The sporting apparel company will provide training and recovery kit for The Capital Spirit, Netball ACT State teams and the Capital Darters teams across the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
Founded in Australia in 2005, 2XU (pronounced Two Times You) is a technical sports apparel company with a mission to create a fitter, healthier world. As the global leader in sports compression, 2XU compression is designed and tested in consultation with sports scientists and industry experts, helping athletes of all abilities prepare, perform, recover and repeat.
Netball ACT Head Coach, Kate Carpenter is thrilled to reveal 2XU as a partner for 2021 and 2022.
“It is important that our high-performance teams align with brands that are industry leaders and 2XU was a natural fit for us”.
“Recovery is a key component of any high-performance athlete and this is particularly important for The Capital Spirit athletes when making the three-hour return bus trip after playing in the NSW Origin Energy Premier League each Wednesday night. Likewise, when our 17 & Under and 19 & Under athletes compete in the National Netball Championships in Hobart in July, post-game recovery will be key to the team performing at their best”.
2XU Global Commercial Co-ordinator, Sean Bramstedt could not be happier to welcome Netball ACT for the next two seasons.
“At 2XU our mission is to help athletes of all abilities train, perform and recover at their peak. We are proud to announce our official partnership with Netball ACT, which will see us supporting the Netball ACT athletes and staff chasing their finish lines in 2021 and 2022.”
The Capital Spirit will play the GWS Fury in Sydney on Wednesday night, while the Netball ACT State Teams continue their preparation for the July Championships over the weekend in Canberra.
