After two years of postponement due to COVID-19, the Capital Darters will make its debut in the new format competition ANC which replaces the Australian Netball League (ANL).
Six ACT athletes and six NSW athletes will represent the Capital Darters in 2022, with all athletes having a variety of experience in high performance pathways.
Former ANL Canberra GIANTS athletes Nalani Makunde, Amber Brophy, Latika Tombs, Taylah Davies and Madeline Eaton will compete for the ACT once again on the national stage.
ACT 19/U athletes Milla Papallo and Emma Smith will attend the senior national competition for the first time after an impressive 2022 season.
GIANTS Academy athletes Charli Fidler, Olivia Coleman and Millie Roach, and QBE Swifts Academy athletes Emma Smith, Taylah Davies and Madeline Eaton will bring their high-performance exposure to the Darters campaign.
Foundation members of The Capital Spirit, Olivia Clark, Malia Harrison and Nalani Makunde also join the Darters. After a long injury rehab in 2021, Malia returns to the elite environment, while Olivia and Nalani provide an established shooting combination to the team.
The championships will be fought out between 10 teams from state and territory member organisations and Suncorp Super Netball league clubs.
The Capital Darters team of 12 will be joined by six ACT training partners.
