Netball ACT is excited that over the coming weeks three of the ACT's top umpires will be travelling to Sydney on a Wednesday night to officiate Netball NSW's Origin Energy Premier League.
Umpiring since 1993 when her sister wrote down Amanda's name instead of her own, tomorrow night Amanda McLachlan will be making her Premier League debut, when she takes to the court at 8:45pm. When asked about the opportunity McLachlan said "I'm looking forward to a different experience, different players and a new challenge." Amanda has been umpiring in the HCF State League Competition for the past 7 years, officiating several grand finals in the past 5 years for the ACT.
On behalf of the ACT netball community, we wish Amanda all the best for her debut tomorrow night! We can't wait to see where your umpiring will take you next.
