National Volunteer Week was a great opportunity for Netball ACT and our District Associations to acknowledge and celebrate the many volunteers that help make our sport what it is. There are so many people that are involved each week in helping to make their club operational and successful. On behalf of Netball ACT we would like to thank every volunteer.
One of our volunteers in particular, Kate Coffey from the Arawang Netball Association was named the 2019 Young Volunteer of the Year, at the Volunteering and Contact ACT Awards ceremony on May 21st.
Kate was recognised for her contribution as a coach, player, mentor, umpire and talent scout. Kate has spent the last decade helping to support her club at many different levels and within the various pathways.
Congratulations Kate from all of us at Netball ACT.
