On behalf of the ACT netball community, the Netball ACT Board has approved a donation of $2,000 that will be paid to the Confident Girls Foundation to assist with the funding of these grants.
Netball ACT CEO Matthew Battams said "I am pleased that on behalf of the Netball ACT community we are able to contribute to this very worthy cause. The devastation that has been caused to our netball communities in NSW and Queensland is difficult to comprehend.
"Netball communities rely on the passion and hard work of so many volunteers and it is quite upsetting to see the pictures of facilities that have been destroyed."
In addition to this financial contribution, Netball ACT is also donating umpiring apparel that has never been worn to the Lismore Netball Association. Above is a picture of the Lismore Netball Association clubhouse and courts during the recent floods.
