It was close finishes across all divisions in Round 3 of the HCF State League season.  Despite Arawang's best efforts, South Canberra prevailed by a single point in the final 30 seconds. 
Arawang head coach Kim Symons said it was a close game and all credit to South Canberra for muscling out the game.
“We need to continue to build on our connections with a brand-new front line”, she said.
After going goal-for-goal in the first quarter, Canberra had some good breaks that enabled them to push their lead to seven by halftime. This score difference remained the final score difference at the conclusion of the game.
The crowd was enthralled by the footwork and off-the-post passes in the much-anticipated Men's game between Canberra and Queanbeyan. Canberra coming away with the win and still sitting undefeated on top of the ladder.
In the 19s division brought the first tied game of the season with Canberra and South Canberra both finishing with 50 points each.
