The Netball ACT Academy aims to identify and support the development of aspiring athletes aged 14-16 years and provide them with a foundation in technical and tactical skill development, physical preparation, and athlete wellbeing. The Netball ACT Academy athletes are identified and selected from the Capital Chemist Junior Championships and invited to join the Academy.
The convener of selectors will help coordinate and assist with administrative tasks related to the selectors and their final selection lists. This includes taking part in and reporting back at the Post-Selection Meeting, as well as coordinating the selectors during the Junior Championships weekend.
The selectors will observe matches during Junior Championships and use selection criteria to identify and select athletes.
All must be available the weekend of the Capital Chemist Junior Championships (24-25 June 2023), as well as for the Pre-Selection Workshop and post-selection review. The Pre-Selection Workshop will be held on Thursday 15th June from 6-7pm at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre.
Selectors and the convener of selectors cannot already be involved with the Junior Championships as a coach or official.
