ACT's NSW Premier League team, The Capital Spirit will play the Pepes at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre at 1pm in a pre-season practice match.
The Pepes Head Coach Annie Iamo says the team is excited to visit Canberra and are looking forward to playing The Capital Spirit.
"This match gives opportunity to the Head Coach and the coaching team to assess strengths and weaknesses of the team and also helps in reviewing game plans," Iamo said.
"Playing this match will help us to improve by way of standards, and exposure and experience at an elite level.
"We are grateful to Netball Australia and the Australian Government through the AustPacific Sports for making this trip possible."
Netball ACT's CEO Matthew Battams says he is excited to have the Pepes come to Canberra after two years of impacted netball due to COVID-19.
"The Netball Launch is a signpost that the netball season is underway," Battams said.
"To have the opportunity to host the PNG national team in Canberra as part of these preparations is very special.
"It is a chance to showcase our talented athletes, and provide them with an opportunity to test themselves against a different opposition and different playing styles."
The South Coast Blaze will also be participating on the day, and will have a practice match against The Capital Spirit later in the afternoon.
Doors will open at 12pm with games to follow at 1pm and 3pm. More details to come
