Netball ACT today announced they have secured an exclusive naming rights sponsor for the ACT Netball Centre. From today, the venue will now be known as the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre. Netball ACT and SolarHub have entered a commercial agreement for three years, with the option for renewal.
General Manger of Netball ACT, Adam Horner said “Netball ACT is committed to the local community and socially responsible practices. The partnership with SolarHub provides a fantastic opportunity for both organisations with shared corporate values and alignment. Since installing the system at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre nearly three weeks ago we have already generate over a third of our energy usage and saved tons of C02 all while using a local companying and delivering quality programs to our members and customers. SolarHub have been a great team to work with for the installation and we look forward to fostering this long-term partnership”.
Netball ACT owns the ACT Netball Centre in Lyneham, which has four full-sized indoor courts and offers a wide variety of competitions for all levels of players from juniors to seniors, both males and females. Currently the centres sees over 80,000 people use the centre each year.
Director of SolarHub, Benn Masters stated “following the installation of a 50kW commercial solar system on the premises of the ACT Netball Centre, SolarHub has committed to sponsor Netball ACT for an initial period of three years. The solar project that we completed at the ACT Netball Centre is one of the most successful commercial solar projects to date. Working with Netball ACT to design a solar system that addresses their energy needs has been a resounding success and it makes sense to continue our engagement with Netball ACT through a sponsorship arrangement”.
The first tournament for the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre will be this weekend, for the Junior Championships, which will see 11 and 12 year old local competitors compete over the two day event.
